Item Description: Antique 1897 Marriage Certificate with Hand Colored Photos This has been in my family and is in remarkable condition. It was willed to me folded in an envelope. These people were my Great Grandfather and Grandmother on my Fathers side of the family. The Certificate is showing some deterioration and discoloration that could be water damage and was folded. It measures 18 X 15 and has some Gold Ink trim. It says that Mr. Nelson Bickmore and Miss Eunice M. Page were united in Marriage in Bowdoinham, Maine by Justice of the Peace L. D. Small in the year of OUR LORD One Thousand Eight Hundred Ninety Seven. The two hand colored pictures are separate from the certificate and are about 5 X 7 size. I could not get a good scan in one piece so had to scan the top separate from the top and put them together. I do not want to fold the certificate again so will put it between two pieces of cardboard and mail it flat. At the bottom of the certificate are the words: Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1678 by Anderson V. Cameron in the Office of the Librarian of Congress at Washington. It also says that it is Style W.
