Welcome! I am offering this week for your bidding pleasure an Original January 1910 two-page Print Ad from Century Illustrated Monthly Magazine:
"The BELMONT & the CHESTER are the new ARROW COLLARS...with the notch that makes them sit perfectly."
and on the facing page...
"The CHESTERFIELD is the new CLUETT SHIRT with the bosom that cannot bulge."
The bottom of each page reads, in small print: Send for Booklet, "Proper Dress," CLUETT, PEABODY & COMPANY, Makers of Arrow Collars, 439 River Street, Troy, N.Y.
This hard-to-find black & white vintage ad measures approx. 13 1/2" x 9 7/8". It's in good condition, with the beginnings of a tear (1/2" at bottom of center fold, and tinier ones at the lower edge. There is also some minor diagonal creasing at the bottom left corner. There are, of course, small staple holes along the center.
What a wonderful Edwardian era vintage clothing double ad - with a classic "Gibson girl" type illustration!
The bonus on the back side: three smaller vintage ads for Mahin Advertising Company, Chicago; Cheney Brothers American-Made Silks; and A.B. Dick Company Mimeograph Machine. Please scroll down to the bottom of page for PHOTOS!
Warmest Regards - Susan, Sarsaparilla Antiques
