Item Description: Pair of very rare Royal Doulton Chelsea Bird Plates, 7-3/4" diameter. This fine bone china plate is decorated with gilt edge and black and green border and under this are garlands of colourful flowers. In the middle of the plate is a Chelsea Bird standing on a grassy mound with some flowering plants around it. The pattern number is E9793 written on the back and there is an impressed date mark that I cannot make out, but believe that these plates date to 1915. The Royal Doulton mark is printed in green. The plates are in excellent condition with no damage.
