The back page is probably the best in the whole magazine if you're into advertising print ads. In all her glory Aunt Jemima's sister Mammie, or at least a good stand-in. But even from the front cover we are entranced with a peek into 100 year ago sensibilities. Womens suffrage articles and reports of Jews in China seem strange and foreign today.
There are many full page ads inside including Brunswick "Baby Grand" Billiard Tables, Maxwell-Briscoe Motor Company, the Wanamaker Book Co advertising a Photographic History of the Civil War, Cream of Wheat with a print of a painting by W.L. Blumenthal, Victor Victrolas IV, VI, & VIII, National Fire Proofing Co. selling Natco Hollow Tile, Gold Medal Flour with a black "Mammie" and several book publishers.
From the mast head we find that the insides will convey Public Opinion (New York) combined with the Literary Digest. This particular issue's cover was illustrated by Charles B. Wright ~DE and being vol. 43, No. 22. Whole No. 1127.
