They are each perched on a tree branch and have their wings spread with beaks open. <br> <br> It is Incised, Made In Italy and artist signed, C. Mollica impressed into the porcelain with the famous capodimonte blue crown and "N" mark. <br> <br> Mollica was the family name of two artists (Achille and Carlo) who worked in Capodimonte, near Naples, from 1930 to the 1950's. Girls, lady and woman figures with swans or geese, birds, or little shepherds with goats were some of their favorite studies. He was a competitor and big rival of Lenci. He was also related through marriage to famous ceramic aritst Guido Cacciapuoti.<br> <br> It measures almost 11 inches high, by 9 inches across at the widest point. It is an impressive sized sculpture.
