How do I bid on an item? Is registering free? - Top

i. In order to place a bid or purchase an item, you must register for a basic account. Simply click register at the top left of every page and fill out the registration form completely. Once you are registered, log in and start shopping!

ii. It is always FREE to register for a buying account and there are no buyer's premiums on SeeAuctions.com



I've already registered but I cannot login? I did not receive my activation email? - Top

i. When you complete your free registration, we will send you an email to activate your account. This is done to prevent spamming and automated accounts.

ii. If you did not receive your activation email, first check your spam folder. If you still cannot find it, just contact us and we will help.

iii. Yahoo Mail users: The activation email probably went in your spam folder.



How do I become a seller... How do I get started? - Top

i. To become a seller, first sign up for a basic SeeAuctions account by clicking "Register" at the top left of any SeeAuctions.com page. Once you have completed the registration and activated your account, login and click "Become a seller" on your "My Account" box. Or click here to complete the Seller registration form.



I've registered and activated my account through email, but I still cannot login? - Top

i. SeeAuctions along with most other sites requires cookies to be enabled on your browser in order to login. To do this, go to your browser and locate your "Preferences" menu. There will be a button that says something like "Accept cookies from sites" or similar. This button is usually located under your "Preferences > Privacy" menu.



Why do I need to enter my address & phone number when registering? - Top

i. Your address is used for shipping when an item is won or purchased. Your phone number may also be used for extra help or troubles with items or shipping. SeeAuctions' seller phone numbers are also available to buyers for the same reasons.



Why do I need to enter my birthday when registering? - Top

i. In order to place a bid on SeeAuctions.com, you must be 18 years of age or older. By placing a bid or purchasing an item, you are agreeing to a legally binding contract to purchase the item.



What is the difference between a SeeAuctions "Profile" and a SeeAuctions "Store"? - Top

i. A SeeAuctions "Profile" is public account information for all registered SeeAuctions members. This information is only made public with the approval of the user and includes username, bio, location, and their "status". A SeeAuctions "Store" is for all registered sellers and includes the same information along with items for sale and seller policies.



How do I update my personal information? (address, email, phone number, etc) - Top

i. Once logged in, Personal Information can be found under "Account Management" in the "My Account" box on the left side of your screen.



How do I know if an email is from SeeAuctions.com? - Top

i. Seeauctions.com will not send out any sensitive emails to your address on file. Emails sent to your personal email from Seeauctions.com will only contain links that direct you to a URL starting with http://www.seeauctions.com/, or https://www.seeauctions.com/. SeeAuctions will never direct an email to your personal settings.



Bidding/Purchasing an Item -top-


Once I win or purchase an item, what do I do next? - Top

i. Purchase Now! (fixed priced) instructions: Once you have clicked Purchase Now! and complete the confirmation page, you will return back to the item listing. From there, you can contact the seller and request an invoice. If the seller accepts Google Checkout and/or Paypal, there will be links to pay instantly within the invoice.

ii. Auction Instructions: When you win an auction, you will be notified via email and SeeAuctions internal mail. Go to your "Buyer Dashboard" and look under "Items Won". From there, you can contact the seller on the item listing page and request an invoice. If the seller accepts Google Checkout and/or Paypal, there will be links to pay instantly within the invoice.



What is Purchase Now! - Top

i. Purchase Now! is a fixed price option that can be purchased immediately for the shown fixed amount. Simply click on PurchaseNow! to begin checking out and paying for an item.



How does "Make An Offer!" work? - Top

What is a Maximum Bid and how does it work? - Top

i. Maximum bid allows bidders to enter their maximum bidding amount and SeeAuctions will bid on their behalf.
Example: A current auctions bid is at $50.00. By placing a bid of $100.00, you are setting the maximum amount you wish to pay. If there are any other bids placed, SeeAuctions will place minimum bids and you will remain the high bidder until the current price exceeds $100.00.



What is the SeeAuctions "Extension" and "Ending Style" and how do they work? - Top

i. A SeeAuctions Extension and Ending Style relate to the same thing; A dynamic auction ending period chosen by the seller. Options include 1, 5, 10 minute an no extension period. (Ex: Seller has chosen a 1 minute ending, the item is at 30 seconds and a user places a bid. The auction time will reset to the 1 minute mark and will not expire until there have been no bids placed within the 1 minute ending)

ii. Extended endings ensure a more active auction that will make for a competitive environment.

How do I search for sold items? - Top

i. Sold items can be found within item searches. If there are sold items that meet your search criteria, a link will appear on the top right of the search page that says "View Sold Items".



How do I find a seller's store? - Top

i. Seller's stores can be located through the URL.
http://www.seeauctions.com/shops/Username. Enter the seller's username at the end of the url.



What is a user's "Status" and how does it work? - Top

i. A user's Status is SeeAuctions' way of doing feedback. Once a user wins or purchased an item, the buyer and seller have options to leave feedback. There are 4 options: Excellent Transaction, Good Transaction, Fair Transaction, Bad Transaction. These options have different values that SeeAuctions averages out into a Status Chart. A user receives a penalty if they receive a "Bad" feedback score. The Status chart determines a user's standing and will give buyers and sellers a more realistic estimate of the other users history.



How do I report an item that is thought to be a new or reproduction piece? - Top

i. Simply click "Flag this listing" which is located at the top of every item listing page. Enter a brief description of why you flagged this item and SeeAuctions with ultimately determine if the item should be deemed a reproduction and will be removed.
